The math
What a five-person install shop ends up paying
A shop that wants service plans, inventory, checklists and the phone system on Workiz is looking at the quote-only Ultimate tier plus the phone add-on. Our research estimate for that setup was $400 to $500 or more a month before processing fees. On Rundown, service plans, purchase orders and checklists are in Pro at $199 a month with 6 users. Rundown does not have a phone system yet, so if that is what you are paying for, count it.
Questions
Rundown or Workiz?
Other comparisons
Can I move my data from Workiz to Rundown?
Yes. We import clients, contacts, sites, jobs, estimates, invoices, payments, price book items, service plans and leads from Workiz CSV exports at no charge. Workiz has no bulk export for attachments, messages or call logs, so those do not transfer.
Is Rundown cheaper than Workiz?
It depends on what you use. Rundown Pro is $199 a month with 6 users and includes service plans, purchase orders and checklists, which Workiz lists under its quote-only Ultimate plan. Workiz has a free Lite plan for 2 users, and Rundown does not have a free plan.
Does Rundown have a phone system like Workiz?
Not yet. Rundown has two-way SMS and email in a shared inbox. Phone numbers with click-to-call and recording are planned. If a built-in phone system is essential today, Workiz has one.
