For low-voltage installers

Phase the install. Order the parts. Pass the inspection.

Low-voltage work is projects with a rough-in, a trim-out and a sign-off, plus the service calls that follow. Rundown schedules the phases, tracks the parts and keeps the permit status in view.

The problem

Where generic tools leave you on your own.

  • 01

One job, several crews and weeks

Rough-in happens before the ceiling closes. Devices and programming come weeks later. A single calendar block does not describe that.

  • 02

Permits and inspections cause the slips

The electrical permit, the fire review and the inspection date decide when you finish, and they usually live in a notebook.

  • 03

    Distributor pricing moves

Prices vary by account and change often. Quotes built on last quarter's cost eat the margin.

Questions

Rundown for low voltage.

Is Rundown only for door work?

No, but it is designed around it. Scheduling, estimates, purchase orders, invoicing and automations work for any install trade. The opening record, the life-safety matrix and hardware schedule import are specific to doors.

Which distributors are supported for live pricing?

ADI, Wesco, Banner and IML, using your own account logins. You can add other vendors and maintain their costs in the price book.
