For commercial locksmiths
From a lockout at 7 am to a 40-door rekey, in one system.
Locksmith shops run two businesses at once: fast residential calls and slow commercial accounts. Rundown gives each its own shape and keeps them on the same calendar.
The problem
Where generic tools leave you on your own.
- 01
Two kinds of customer
A homeowner wants a time window and a price. A property manager wants net 30, a PO number and history on a specific door.
- 02
History by client is not enough
The question is never just what you did for this customer. It is what was done to this door, and when.
- 03
Paying extra for the basics
Service plans, checklists and equipment tracking are what a commercial account needs, and they are often held for the top tier of general tools.
How Rundown fits
What changes when the software knows your trade.
Booking that fits the call
Instant booking for rekeys and other fixed-duration work, request-a-quote for commercial, and an emergency option for lockouts with your emergency rate.
Booking and portalA record per door
Hardware, devices, photos and every job that touched the opening. Commercial clients can request service on a specific door from their portal.
Openings and complianceResidential and commercial views
Commercial clients get sites and openings. Residential clients get one address and a short form.
CRMNet terms and card on the spot
Net 30 with PO numbers for accounts, card or ACH by link for everyone else.
InvoicingReviews on autopilot
A review request goes out by text and email 2 hours after the job, once per client every 90 days.
Booking and portal
Not here yet: key system records. Bitting, keyways, master key structure and a key issue log are planned, with restricted access and an audit trail on every view. Until then, keep those where you keep them today.
Questions
Rundown for locksmith.
Can techs take payment in the field?
A tech or the office can send a pay link by text, and the client pays by card or ACH on their phone. Card readers are not supported yet.
Does Rundown store key bitting or master key systems?
Not yet. Key and credential records are planned and will be encrypted with restricted, audited access. We would not ask you to trust us with those before that is built.
